Delta has launched a very aggressive campaign for SkyMiles members that have their account address in WA. You can get double award and Medallion Qualifying Miles (MQM’s) on non-stop flights from/to Seattle.
Note that the Seattle must be origin or final destination in order to earn the bonus miles for the direct to/from segments out of SEA.
You must register for this promotion (access here).
Delta has launched and is launching throughout the year many new international routes from the city. The airline must be building up Seattle as a hub for the airline’s Asia flights.
Note that the MQD’s (Medallion Qualifying Dollars) that are also required for elite status with Delta and not doubled with this promotion.
Not sure what Delta’s partner Alaska Airlines is thinking of Delta’s expansion on their turf. Seattle is Alaska’s main hub.
Double award miles offer is good for the SkyMiles members that reside (or their SkyMiles account address is) in Washington state. Usually these double miles offers are only for short period of time, but this offer is valid until the end of 2014.
