Club Carlson has a nice hotel loyalty program that is especially good for stays in Europe and the program still does straight status matches without any stay requirements.
Club Carlson usually matches to their Silver or Gold level only. The highest status with the Club Carlson is Concierge, but this is, at least officially, off-limits when it comes to status matches (they do match sometimes if you are convincing enough).
Club Carlson matches Accor, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG Reward Club, Marriott and Starwood.
Here’s how to request status match:
1. Open a Club Carlson account if you don’t already have one.
2. Take a screenshot from your Accor, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG Rewards Club, Marriott, or Starwood online account statement that shows your status.
3. Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and include a copy of the screen shot, your Club Carlson account number, and a few words that you would like to get matched to Gold status with their program.
You should hear back from Club Carlson within 24 hours. They sometimes have problem opening attachments, so you may have to email twice.
The good thing about Club Carlson is that they allow doing back to back status matches. They are not yet limited once per account.
Here are the official requirements for Silver, Gold and Concierge status:
Club Carlson has nice Radisson and Radisson Blu properties in Europe (US properties tend to be subpar) places where other global chains don’t have much coverage, but are pretty much non-existent in the Asia-Pacific region. I usually stay with them few times a year in Europe and having Gold status come handy during those stays.
