Delta & Alaska Partnership In Trouble? (Delta Cancels Many Codeshares)

Delta has been expanding a lot lately on Alaska’s main hub (Seattle) and this must have caused rift between the airlines.

Alaska Airlines Delta Air Lines Partnership reported yesterday (access here) that Delta has removed its codeshare from the Alaska operated routes below:

Seattle – Las Vegas
Seattle – Los Angeles
Seattle – San Diego
Seattle – San Francisco
Seattle – San Jose CA
Seattle – Vancouver

It must be matter only of time when Alaska removes its code from many Delta operated flights. The entire partnership must be on its last leg due to Delta’s recent expansion in Seattle that must start hurting Alaska’s performance at some point.
