Choice Privileges is running their European award sale again or it could be just limited to Italy for now. You can redeem for most Choice affiliated hotels in Rome for only 10,000 points (normally 20,000 to 25,000) per night until September 15, 2014.
Choice likely does this because they often run promotions for 8,000 points for every two stays that they advertise as getting a free night for every two stays.
There is no web page on Choice’s website for this award discount, but the lowered pint prices for awards show up on the regular search. You can access Choice’s website here.
I tried to search for several other cities that have previously worked with these Choice’s award sales, but none of them returned significantly lowered award prices.

Conclusion
These Choice’s Europe award sales are probably the best way to burn those Privileges points. Let’s hope that the sale extend to other cities as well.
