Worldhotels has launched their Peakpoints loyalty program and are now offering 300 points + Gold status just for signing up by May 24, 2014.
Worldhotels is a collection on independent hotels around the world that are sold through this marketing organization that has launched its loyalty program now as well.
You can access this offer on Worldhotels Peakpoints website here.
You earn 2 points per 1 Euro spend and can start redeeming when you have 2,000 points. You can order a voucher that you can then use towards folio expenses at any of the participating hotels.
It is unclear, however, what is the value of these vouchers, as I couldn’t find any information on Peakpoints website about this.
EDIT: A reader pointed out that 100,000 points are worth 1,250 euros and you need to spend 50,000 euro at the base level to reach that number. So, you get 2,5% of your spent back in vouchers.
Silver members earn 10% bonus, Gold ones 25% and Navigator (the highest tier) 50%.
Peakpoints Silver status can be reached by earning 3,000 points in a calendar year, Gold by 10,000 and Navigator by 20,000 points.
The website doesn’t indicate that there would be any elite level benefits besides some extra points.
Thanks for a LoyaltyLobby reader that forwarded the email that he had received from Worldhotels.
It is very difficult to tell if this program is worth a lot, but I nevertheless signed up for it. I just find it annoying that they are not presenting the points to voucher values on their website (that likely means that it is truly terrible). Edit: You get only 2,5% of your spent back in vouchers.
I hope that this doesn’t turned out to be as bad as Preferred Hotel Group’s iPrefer that basically doles out 2% of the stay value back in loyalty points (free night for every 50 paid nights).
