Virgin Australia Passenger Sets Hijacking Alert

An Australian male in his mid-20’s probably (at least I hope) learned a lesson how not to behave in an airplane earlier today.

Virgin Australia Bali

He had shown erratic behavior and tried to access the cockpit on this Virgin Australia Boeing 737 flight that was destined to Bali.

You can read more about this incident on WSJ’s website here.

The pilot had activated the hijacking alert and the passenger was restrained on the back seat. After the plane landed to the Bali airport, the passenger was arrested.

There were some earlier reports that the passenger had been drunk, but it is unclear if this was the reason for his erratic behavior. This will likely become very expensive experience for him.
