InterContinental Sydney Double Bay Now Open For Paid & Awards At 35K Starting From December 1, 2014

It is now close to a year since I wrote (access here) about the transformation of former Ritz-Carlton hotel in Double Bay (Sydney) to an InterContinental property.

Now, IHG has opened the property for both paid and award reservations starting from December 1, 2014. The hotel has opened any suites for sale, however.

You can access InterContinental Double Bay’s website here.

The going rate for the hotel seems to be $390 AUD per night including a 2,000 bonus points for IHG Rewards Club members.

The better deal, however, is to burn points here at 35,000 per night. I would imagine that the number of points required for an award night will soon go up.

Conclusion

If you are planning to visit Sydney in late 2014 or in 2015, it would be advisable to make your award bookings for this property now. I would imagine that the number of points required for an award night will go to 45K or 50K shortly.
