Etihad Guest is not, however, yet listed as a partner for Marriott Rewards travel packages.

Etihad Guest is not listed as a partner airline here yet. Based on the airlines it was aligned with on the straight points to miles conversion schedule, it belongs to this group.

You shouldn’t earn straight miles for your Marriott stays. It is better to take advantage of the Marriott points promotions and then issue a travel package once you have enough points in your account (minimum reasonable is 270,000).
