Marriott Rewards “August Points” Targeted Promotion For Up To 50,000 Bonus Points Between August 15 – November 15, 2014


Marriott Rewards has launched a targeted promotion called “August Points” for stays between August 15 and November 15, 2014. The member must register for this offer by September 30.

The eligible member will earn 5,000 bonus Marriott Rewards points for every second paid stay, up to 50,000 bonus points during the promotional period.

Note that this is not the fall Marriott MegaBonus but rather a targeted offer that Marriott has extended to some members. It overlaps with the current MegaBonus offer and the next one that is expected to start in September. The targeted member can earn points for both promotions.


Marriott Rewards is known to make targeted offers such as this for their most loyal members and it is not uncommon that they overlap with other promotion. Here are the terms and conditions of this “August Points” offer:

  1. Registration is required.

  2. Marriott Rewards members who register for this promotion by September 30, 2014 will earn 5,000 bonus points with every second paid stay, starting with their second stay – up to a total of 50,000 bonus points – between August 15, 2014 and November 15, 2014 at participating Marriott properties.

  3. A ‘stay’ is defined as consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, regardless of check-in/check-out activity.

  4. This offer is non-transferable.

  5. Nights spent while redeeming an award are not eligible for credit.

  6. Marriott Vacation Club® owner-occupied weeks are not eligible for credit.

  7. Only one room per hotel is counted toward a member’s nights or stay.

  8. Members electing to earn miles are not eligible for this promotion.
