IHG Rewards Club Ambassador Accelerator was part of the Ambassador program and was paying 20,000 bonus points for every 15 paid InterContinental nights.
IHG Rewards Club/Ambassador program has never communicated anything about the discontinuance of this bonus. You were only aware of it if you were following the “My Offers” section of the IHG Rewards Club, as the bonus ended/was extended several times, but it did come to an end on June 30, 2014.

I reported last week (access here) that some Ambassador members were given 20,000 points under description “other”. It was unclear if the Ambassador Accelerator was paying until you hit the next 15 nights hurdle or what these points were for.
Now, IHG has sent out an email above to some Ambassador members giving them 20,000 points due to them being close to the next 15 nights that would have triggered the bonus. Yours truly didn’t receive this email, but a LoyaltyLobby reader forwarded it to me.
Conclusion
The communication and customer service have never been a strength of the IHG Rewards Club or Ambassador program. They (IHG) still haven’t sent any emails bout the discontinuance of this Ambassador Accelerator to most.
I am glad, however, that they seem to be paying out the 20,000 bonuses for those that are close or hit the next 15 nights hurdle.
