Marriott Rewards FlashPerks Week 7: Hotels Up To 50% Off (Using Points) & Merchandise Awards

Marriott Rewards announced in July (read more here) that they would launch FlashPerks on July 17, 2014, for 12 week period. Their goal is to have 10 – 15 deals every week for 24 hours or before they sell out.

Seems that that there are quite a few nice deals for hotels discounts both using points & cash. I am not very impressed about the experiences or merchandise rewards.

Conclusion

The hotel awards at 50% off are good deals but the use windows are rather short. Getting 30% off from a best available rates is usually just a so so deal. It never ceases to amaze me that these merchandize awards are the first one to sell out, although I don’t consider them great by any means.
