Marriott Rewards has launched new website Members-Get-More.com targeted getting new members in Asia where Marriott only has 130 properties.

Marriott is also pushing the use of their app to check in and check out to hotels and is offering Marriott Rewards Gold status upgrade to 100 members that check in using the app twice between September 4 and October 4, 2014.

All the hotel programs are offering sweeteners in the Asia Pacific region where they are building bunch of new properties to attract more members.

Conclusion

If you can check in using the app today and tomorrow, I would imagine that you are within the first 100 check in using the app and would get the Marriott Rewards Gold status upgrade.

Here are the terms and conditions of this offer:

  • The Marriott Rewards Hit Gold Faster (“Promotion”) begins on 4 Sep 2014 00:00 (Hong Kong time) and ends on 4 Oct 2014 at 23:59 (“Promotion Period”). By participating in this Promotion, users agree to all of the terms and conditions below.

  • The Promotion is open to all legal residents in Asia Pacific, that are 18 years of age or older at time of entry (“Participant”). Void where prohibited by law.

  • Participating hotel brands in Asia Pacific include JW Marriott® Hotels & Resorts, Autograph Collection® Hotels, Renaissance® Hotels, Marriott® Hotels, Courtyard by Marriott® Hotels and Marriott Executive Apartments®. Hotel locations in Asia Pacific include: Australia, China (including Hong Kong), India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam (“Participating Hotels in Asia Pacific”).

  • The first 100 guests who have successfully completed mobile check-in for their stays twice at Participating Hotels in Asia Pacific during the Promotion Period (“Winners”) will be granted complimentary upgrade to Marriott Rewards Gold Elite membership.

  • In order to use mobile check in, it is necessary for the participants to (1) be a Rewards member, (2) book directly with Marriott and (3) have downloaded the Marriott App on their iPhone or Android device. For detailed guidelines, please refer to Members-get-more.com.

  • A “stay” is defined as consecutive nights spent at Participating Hotels in Asia Pacific, regardless of check-in/check out activity.

  • Only one room per member per stay is counted towards this Promotion.

  • A guest may only be awarded Gold Elite membership upgrade once.

  • Guests who have already achieved Gold Elite or above for 2015 are not eligible for this Promotion. Winners will be notified at his/her registered email address within 6 weeks after the end of the Promotion.

  • Upgrade to Rewards Gold Elite Membership will take place up to 6 weeks and the new membership materials will be mailed out in 4 to 6 weeks.

  • Gold Elite status is awarded till Jan 2016. Thereafter members must stay at least 50 nights annually at participating Marriott brand hotels in order to qualify for Gold Elite status.

  • Gold Elite benefits vary by brand and are based on availability. Visit Marriott.com for the added benefits of Gold Elite status.
