Club Carlson has 25% off select property award discount promo called Power Points for stays in the Americas between September 1 and November 30, 2014.
You must use promotional code POWERPTS at the time of doing the reservation to bring up the promotional rates (I didn’t succeed with this).

Note that the list of participating properties for this award discount offer is rather limited. There are only three participating properties in the entire state of California.
Conclusion
When I tried to search for the discounted rates, they didn’t seem to come up on the award search. It could be that the discount is given at the later stage of the booking process.
This can work for those that happen to be traveling to any of the destinations that have these discounted award rates available and the award point requirement is not out of whack.
