The frequent flier partnership between American Airlines and El Al is ending effective October 31, 2014.

Starting on November 1, 2014, you can no longer earn or use American Airlines AAdvantage miles for flights on El Al and vice versa.

The last date to use American Airlines miles on El Al is October 31, 2014, and the travel must be completed by October 31, 2015. You can not voluntarily make any flight changes to El Al award flights issued by American Airlines after October 31.

Conclusion

American Airlines has quite a few partners in the region including Qatar Airways and Royal Jordanian that are both Oneworld alliance member and Etihad Airways based in Abu Dhabi. It is sad, however, to see any partnership ending.
