UPDATE: Le Club Accorhotels Gold Status In ONE Stay & Platinum In Just THREE? (CONFIRMED)

Last week (access here), I wrote about unintended Le Club Accorhotels Gold and Platinum fast tracks requiring just 1 or 3 stays that resulted from a promo with Air Canada Aeroplan program.

Le Club Accorhotels Gold 1 Stay Platinum 3 Stays

Le Club Accorhotels has a promotion going on with Aeroplan for 5,000 miles per (read more here) stay that is first deposited as 10,000 points to your account that counts towards the Gold (requires 10,000 points) or Platinum (requires 25,000 points).

You can access Accor’s web page for different status here.

I promised to do the stays and report back what I found out and here are my findings!

Stay 1. ibis A

Le Club Accorhotels 1st Stay

The stay posted just fine and the account was upgraded to Gold status immediately. The bar shows that Platinum status would require additional 59 nights or 13,298 points.

Stay 2. ibis B

Le Club Accorhotels 3rd Stay

This stay actually posted AFTER the 3rd stay. It made the account Platinum, however.

Stay 3. ibis A

Le Club Accorhotels 2nd Stay

This posted as the second stay to the account and the status bar reminded that 58 nights or 3,264 points would be needed for a Platinum status.

Le Club Accorhotels 2nd Stay Email

Accor also sent an email regarding how close the account holder was reaching Platinum.

This is absolutely the easiest way of getting the Platinum status with Le Club Accorhotels if you don’t have access to some Amex Platinum cards that come with the status in select markets (if not all).

You basically need just 3 stays and will end up with 15,000 or more Air Canada Aeroplan miles that you can use for an award trip.

These three stays can be done very cheaply in Asia where some of these hotels go for less than $40 per night taxes included.

On a side note, when I was checking in to the ibis hotel late on Friday night, I met a LoyaltyLobby reader there that was checking into the hotel too. I was staying at the St. Regis for the night and he was at the Conrad. His goal was to get the Platinum Accor status and some Aeroplan miles in the process.
