United Airlines Ups Premier Qualifying Dollar (PQD) Requirement January 1, 2015

Yesterday, United Airlines emailed some MileagePlus members about the Premier Qualifying Dollar enhancement (PQD) hitting them starting on January 1, 2015.

The change will have an effect for the 2016 qualification year. United is again following Delta that made this adjustment earlier (read more here).

United Airlines MileagePlus Premier Qualifying Dollars Changes 2015 Amounts

The PQD requirement goes up by $500 at the Silver level, $1,000 for Golds, $1,500 for Platinums and $2,000 for Premier 1K members.


It was about the time that United followed Delta by rising the PQD requirement. Why have MileagePlus management team at all, when all the changes made are only to follow Delta?
