On November 28, I wrote (access here) about Le Club Accorhotels British Airways, Avios and Delta promotions that Accor seemed to have canceled without any prior notice.
Then on December 2, I wrote (access here) that Accor was claiming this to be just a “glitch” and a “technical” error, although the the promotions still show as expired when you try to access them on Accor’s website.
So, I decided to do a test, when the Accor representative claimed that the offers are still valid. I chose British Airways as the partner airline and had one night stay at an ibis hotel in Hong Kong.
The stay did correctly post with 5,000 bonus points that were later converted to British Airways Avios.
I really wish that Le Club Accorhotels wouldn’t tinker with promotions that they launch and cause confusion with their program members.
The British Airways promotions is certainly still valid, as the reservation was done the same day when I stayed at the hotel (ibis is NOT my favorite Accor brand). I would expect that the same situation that the promotion is still indeed valid to apply both Avios and Delta too.
