Unites Airlines 20% Off MileagePlus Economy Awards Select Destinations

United Airlines has launched two separate 20% off MileagePlus award promotions and both are valid for travel between January 12 – February 12, 2015, and must be booked by December 31.

United MileagePlus Award Discount

Both are only valid for return travel in economy class only. The discount is not applicable for business/first class award travel.

You can access the “from Hawaii offer” here and US/Canada offer here.

1. 20% off award travel from Hawaii to United States or Canada

This offer is only valid for return travel from Hawaii to United States or Canada.

2. 20% off award travel from United States or Canada to Hawaii or Mexico + Select Destinations Within The US

MileagePlus also offers 20% off award travel from United States or Canada to Hawaii or Mexico during the same time period.

The following destinations within the United States: Aspen (ASE), Bozeman (BZN), Durango (DRO), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Fort Myers (RSW), Jackson Hole (JAC), Mammoth Lakes (MMH), Miami (MIA), Montrose/Telluride (MTJ), Salt Lake City (SLC), San Diego (SAN), Santa Barbara (SBA), Sarasota (SRQ), Sun Valley (SUN), Vail (EGE), West Palm Beach (PBI) and Yampa Valley (HDN)

Conclusion

Some of those domestic cities are rather “expensive” destinations, so using miles at 20% off could make sense.

Here are the terms and conditions of these two offers:
