CANCELLED: US Airways Trial Preferred Program

US Airways has ended its popular Trial Preferred program for new enrollments effective immediately on December 22, 2014.

CANCELLED US Airways Trial Preferred

Trial Preferred allowed you to purchase Silver, Gold, Platinum or Even Chairman’s status for 90 days during which you needed to complete set number of segments or flown miles to keep the status for the duration of the membership year.

You can access US Airways web page for this program here.

You can read more about this program from my earlier pieces:

US Airways Dividend Miles Trial Preferred Expiry Update: Status Now Valid Until February 29, 2016 (Mergers To AAdvantage In Early 2015)

US Airways Buy Up To Preferred-Program: Buy Silver, Gold, Platinum Or Chairman’s Status

UPDATE: US Airways Trial Preferred Program (Now AA Flights Qualifying)

It was inevitable that the program would come to an end at some point, but it was quite a surprise that they decided to just pull it overnight. Giving little bit of prior notice to those that had been procrastinating would have been better.
