IHG Rewards Club’s previous Into The Nights promotion was the worst executed hotel promotion that I had ever seen from changing promo goals to posting issues.
IHG Rewards Club decided to run a new Set Your Sights-promotion using the same underlying technology and would like to hear from reader what issues they might have had so far.
Here’s an email from a LoyaltyLobby reader that has an issue with the promo:
Hi John. Wondered if any of your readers have had same problem with set your sights promo. No problem registering on 15th Decembe 2014 but have never been able to log back in – get message There is a problem please try later. This happens on 5 laptops, 2 tablets, 1 mobile and 1 pc even after deleting cookies. My wife gets in on same machine straight away so not device. Emails and telephone calls get condescending response from IHG even when they use my log in on their own phone. Can you or your readers please help as I was hoping to see what my challenges were before promo ends in April. Thanks.
Did you receive an email from IHG that would show what your challenges are? They sent these out even when you were not registered.
I would call the US number during US business hours and would ask to speak with the customer relations. The Philippines based “IHG Care” is not able to help on complicated issues such as this where they don’t have written script available.

Completely different set of hotels. Now the participating hotels would be only those that are called Holiday Inn Resorts or Holiday Inn Club Vacation properties. The original one include the IHG Resorts as well.

It seems that it pays to take a screenshot of your offers and the terms. I caught IHG changing my Getaway Bonus property requirement and will “fight” about this with Ambassador “service center”. I will let you know how it goes.
