Ritz-Carlton has extended an offer for all its Rewards members that can earn double night credits for their Ritz-Carlton stays during the 2015.
You will earn two elite night credits for each night stayed during 2015. This is similar for the promo that they offered in 2014.

You must be Ritz-Carlton Rewards member during your stay and when it posts for the double night credits to correctly applied. You can continue switching between Marriott and Ritz-Carlton Rewards accounts to maximize the promotions and elite night credits.
Conclusion
Marriott should simply just “merge” the Marriott Rewards and Ritz-Carlton Rewards loyalty programs because it is merely a flag on your account which program your account is associated with.
This promo earned me 10 additional nights for 2014 year end total, when I took advantage of the 100,000 bonus points for 10 nights promo that Ritz-Carlton Rewards had.
