Does it make sense to purchase Hilton HHonors points?

This is the lowest price that I have seen Hilton selling HHonors points. If you use them for very expensive or cheap properties point wise, you can have a deal. Also, some Points + Cash redemptions can be a reasonable offer when the cash rates are through the roof.

This is a borderline deal. If you can use the points in a reasonable way, buying them at 0.5 cents each can make sense.
