COPA ConnectMiles account sign ups have now been enabled and you can get up to 3,000 free miles until June 30, 2015.
You get 1,000 free miles for merely opening an accounts and 2,000 bonus miles for updating your profile with passport and other info.

Conclusion
Not sure if these miles are worth anything, but there are likely launch promotions with other partners when they come live. May be enough miles at some point for an award of some sort.
