Hilton HHonors launched an offer late may for buying points at 100% bonus that ends this Wednesday (June 17, 2015).
Hilton used to have (in 2014) a yearly cap of 40,000 purchased points but it is now doubled to 80,000. The cap doesn’t apply for bonus points.
You can access Hilton HHonors points purchase offer here.
If you buy the maximum number of points, the price of a point purchased under the 100% bonus is 0.5 cents each.
Does it make sense to purchase Hilton HHonors points?
This is the lowest price that I have seen Hilton selling HHonors points. If you use them for very expensive or cheap properties point wise, you can have a deal. Also, some Points + Cash redemptions can be a reasonable offer when the cash rates are through the roof.
Buying Hilton HHonors points at 0.5 cents each can make sense if you tend to redeem at the most expensive properties, when the rates are sky high or do cash + points redemptions. This is the lowest price that I have seen Hilton selling points.
