AirAsia has launched their latest Big Sale for travel between February 15 and August 31, 2016, that must be booked by June 28.
The base fare on some of the routes is zero but you obviously must pay the taxes/fees and the nasty credit card surcharge of $6 per way.

The credit card surcharge that AirAsia charges (calls it a processing fee) is no way connected what they pay for their processor.
On my recent AirAsia ticket, the credit card payment fee of $12 was close to 10% of the total payment. AirAsia doesn’t pay more than 1% to 2% at max for processing online payments.
