Altialia Mille Miglia sent out a marketing email to their members promoting a partnership with hotel booking website venere.com where members can earn Mille Miglia miles for bookings and reviews.
Venere offers a promotion until the end of October 2015 where you receive 6 miles per EURO spent on hotels which is great if you choose a non chain hotel.
You can access the Venere – Alitalia website here.
Apart from the aforementioned promotion there is also an additional one for customers booking a hotel in Milan during the World Expo 2015 where 8 miles per EUR spent will be credited to the members account.
After the promotion window the earning rate will be 4 Miles per EUR spent.
In addition to that, until 30th of Novermber 2015, Venere will credit 150 Mille Miglia Miles for each hotel review. Things like these are always great to keep accounts active or to top up small balances.
As far as the crediting of the miles goes, the website says
Collecting miles is possible only for reservations by accessing/logging into www.venere.com/millemiglia and for verified vacations. The miles earned for reservations will be credited by 15th of each month from check-out dates. The miles earned for the reviews will be credited after 60 days from the review.
I have booked a small hotel in Tokyo twice before via Venere and also used them a few times for a Best Rate Guarantee adjustment. Their prices are often competitive and the selection of hotels at times decent. If you can get a few Alitalia miles on top of it then that’s even better.
