American Airlines AAdvantage has now confirmed their targeted Fast Track offer to those who were eligible to sign up for it.
American has previously announced that they would notify eligible members after September 14th via email. I received the confirmation today as well and now have to decide if I want to jump on this offer or not.
A few weeks ago wrote about this targeted LinkedIn promotion (access here) which I think is a really good and generous offer from AA.
The confirmation email that came in this morning reads as follows:
Keep in mind, these are Elite Qualifying Points (EQP) and not miles. The accrual of points depends on the fare basis of your ticket and ranges from 0.5 EQP per mile flown (for lower fare economy tickets) to 1.5 EQP (for full fare and premium class tickets).
If you have signed up for this offer you may want to check your email if you received the confirmation from AAdvantage as well.
As I said in my original article, it’s certainly worthwhile to go for it if you have travel booked or intend to travel in the next three months which would put you over the edge. 9,000 EQP for the Platinum Challenge is certainly easy to achieve. 25,000 for Executive Platinum is a bit harder and you really need some solid travel for that.
