American Airlines has now launched their version (read more about the BA one here) for up to 125,000 bonus AAdvantage miles for transatlantic travel between September 22 – January 31, 2016.

The offer is valid on flights operated and marketed by American Airlines, British Airlines, Finnair, Iberia and OpenSkies in all classes of service.

Conclusion

The American Airlines version doesn’t appear to have the BA requirement of having to have AAdvantage account registered in North America. Also, the ticketing date requirement on or after September 22 is “silent”.

Good offer for those that fly in any classes of service on these airlines, as even the lowest economy earns you some bonus miles that is usually not the case.

AAdvantage bonus mile offer is valid only on American Airlines, British Airways, Finnair, Iberia, OpenSkies or US Airways marketed nonstop flights for round-trip travel between the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Europe, September 22, 2015, through January 31, 2016. Flights operated and/or marketed by other codeshare partners are not eligible for this promotion. Offer applies only to AAdvantage members who purchase and fly on eligible published-fare tickets. Bonus miles will be calculated and awarded based on the number of trips flown in a specific booking class. The bonus can only be earned for a maximum of five round-trips. Half the round-trip bonus will be posted after each eligible one way segment. Bonus miles do not count toward elite status qualification or AAdvantage Million Miler status.
