A LoyaltyLobby reader sent me an email about the recent Le Club AccorHotels promotion for 10,000 bonus points after three stays of minimum of two nights each.
Here’s the email from the reader:
I have a question cons Accor 10,000 points promotion. Maybe you faced the same issue or could raise a question among readers. It must be I’m not alone here.
I booked my stays late in the evening Sept 20th Paris time. To make sure all my booking eligible I emailed Le Club support with the question. 8 days later I got a response, which you can find below. The thing is that I have 2 stays back-to-back, the 1st one is in Malang (14/11-17/11) and the 2nd one in Surakarta (17/11-20/11). As you can see from the response the 2nd stay is considered consecutive thus not eligible for the promotion.
Obviously the consecutive stays are not eligible, however I would be pretty sure it’s about stays in the same hotel. I have stays not only in different hotels, but in different cities. It would be just nonsense to consider such stays consecutive. I personally think it’s a mistake of a particular agent who responded me, but maybe…
What do you think? Have you had such back-to-back reservations under current promo?

This is in reference to the bonus promotion of “Receive up to €200 in points – September 2015”.
We would like to confirm that the reservations below are eligible for the offer.
HOTEL: ibis styles Malang

STAY DATES: Nov 23 – 25, 2015
However, the other bookings below do not qualify for the bonus points. According to the terms and conditions, 3. The offer is only valid once for 3 stays per member during the offer duration, for stays between 07/09/2015 and 31/12/2015 in hotels participating in the Le Club AccorHotels programme, booked between 07/09/2015 and 20/09/2015. Stays cannot be consecutive.

The problem with the Le Club AccorHotels is that if a stay and/or promotion doesn’t properly post without human interaction, the customer (dis)service employee is doing his/her very best to deny the points from you.
The consecutive stay has always meant consecutive back to back stays at same hotel without having minimum of one day in between them.
I have never come across any hotel promotion from any chain that would penalize you from staying at same chain hotels back to back. One could easily be in Jakarta for Wednesday to Friday and then in Bali for two nights. According to that Le Club AccorHotels reply, the second stay would be ineligible for the bonus points.
Has any other LoyaltyLobby reader experiences this with the latest promotion? I have had two stays posted for this promotion, but they weren’t even on the same week.
