If you sign up for this promotion for the 4,000 free points and another 4,000 bonus after your first stay, these are enough for a free night at more than 1,500 Choice affiliated hotels.

The terms state that this offer is only open for those that received the email, but seems that the sign up link contains the promo code that triggers the bonus points. Just remember to have your first stay by December 11 and sign up for the triple points promo as well (read more here).
