IHG Rewards Club Platinum & Spire Rollover Nights Explained


IHG Rewards Club introduced rollover nights for Platinum (and later in the year for Spire) members in early 2015 when excess nights from 2014 were rolled over to 2015 membership year.

Many LoyaltyLobby readers have emailed me that they have not had nights or not enough rolled over from 2015 to 2016 membership year and I decided to try explaining this.

Platinum status requires 40 nights and Spire 75. Only elite qualifying nights earned in 2015 in excess of those will be rolled over to 2016. The rollover nights from 2014 that are included in your 2015 year end totals are not counted at all.

I had 130+ elite qualifying nights in 2015 of which 30 or so were rolled over from 2014. I started this year with 30 rollover nights.


If you had enough elite qualifying nights in 2015 that should have rolled over but haven’t, you should contact IHG Rewards Club to have them to fix the issue.
