IHG Rewards Club has Priceless Surprises promotion with MasterCard that requires you to use MC to pay for hotel stay (or mail out letters to IHG).
There are quite a few different prices but the most likely one is 500 bonus points. LoyaltyLobby reader dropped me an email yesterday after he had won one of the grand prizes.
You can access IHG Rewards Club Priceless Surprises here.
So, if you receive an email from IHG Rewards Club with a subject line “Big news from the IHG and MasterCard® Priceless Surprises® Promotion“, make sure that you open it promptly.
Here’s the email:
I got this email yesterday. When I saw the title I thought great 500 points! Then I read it and saw that I had won the Arnold Palmer invitational priceless surprise!
I’m going to mail in the forms today. It’s a tight window and it almost didn’t look real.
And here’s the email sent by the fulfillment company:
This prize is featured next to the statement for this promo:
You really have to act fast if you happen to receive one of these better prizes. They require you to deliver the declaration within 5 days of receiving the email (regardless when you may have opened it). Better send it by UPS or FedEx.
Not sure how IHG has come up with the value of this prize. You should argue that the actual “value” is lower and declare that value for taxation purposes. Remember to consult an accountant.
I am glad that at least one of the readers won something beyond bonus points.
When I had look at my statement, seems that many of my stays that I have paid using a MasterCard have not tracked correctly. I probably need to contact the Ambassador Service Center to have them fix this issue.
