On Thursday, I wrote about Hilton HHonors American Airlines Gold offer (read more here) and thought that there might be Platinum version available as well.
A LoyaltyLobby reader sent me a link to an offer that he had received from Hilton HHonors granting instant American Airlines Platinum status, fast track offer to keep it through January 2018 and 20,000 bonus Hilton HHonors points.

You must register by February 25, 2016, and the complimentary American Airlines Platinum status is valid until June 17, 2016. You have fast track offer to keep it until January 2018.
You need to earn 12,500 Elite Qualifying Miles between March 7 – June 17, 2016, to successfully complete the fast track and to earn 20,000 bonus Hilton HHonors points.
Flights on American Airlines British Airways, Finnair, Iberia, JAL and Qantas as well as eligible codeshares (such as QF coded Emirates flights) qualify towards the offer.

This is the first time I have seen fast track offers for airline status based on a hotel one. Usually these are the other way around. Good offer for those that were targeted and/or able to sign up for this offer.
Maybe Hilton HHonors and American Airlines are launching similar partnership than what Marriott has with United and SPG with Delta.
