Hyatt Gold Passport has a new campaign for buying up to 55,000 points (71,500 with the bonus) and getting 30% bonus between February 22 – March 7, 2016.
Hyatt Gold Passport tends to sell points at up to 40% bonus few times a year.
You can access this offer on Hyatt’s website here.
The price of a Hyatt Gold Passport point purchased under this offer is 1.85 cents each.
Does it make sense to purchase points?
Only if you use them at very expensive Hyatt properties such as the Park Hyatt Maldives or Paris.
Award rooms with Hyatt are available as long as the standard rooms are available for sale. This means that points are usually good value if there is something going on in the city that brings the rates throughout the roof.
Unless you absolutely need some Hyatt Gold Passport points right now, I would wait until they have 40% bonus around.
