London’s Gatwick Airport Closed Due To Oil Spillage On Runway

London’s Gatwick airport that is used by many airlines including British Airways and Easyjet is currently closed to oil spillage on its only runway.

Gatwick Closed

Some flights that were scheduled to land at Gatwick have been diverted to other airports and there are obvious flight delays due to this.

If you are flying to or from London’s Gatwick airport today, you should monitor whether the flight is actually operating due to this runaway issue. When the runway is back open it will take some time for the operations to return back to normal and there will be further delays throughout the day due to airplanes not able to land/take off earlier.
