British Airways had advertised on its website that the fees with transatlantic awards had been $23 only to reprice at close to $260 down the road.

British Airways claimed that this was a “technical issue” and only affected US Airways awards. These prices were only displayed for Executive Club members that were searching for awards.

The fine is minuscule really but sends a message to British Airways that the airline cannot have “technical issues” on its websites that misrepresents prices that should include all taxes/fees.
