Conclusion

Conversion of points to miles from IHG Rewards Club, Club Carlson and Best Western Rewards won’t count for double miles under this offer. Conversions from Le Club AccorHotels are eligible, however.

If you are crediting transactions from these partners during the offer period, you should defintely sign up and collect the bonus miles.

Here are the terms and conditions:

1. Eligibility for Participation / Participation

The organiser of the following competition, including the double miles campaign is topbonus Ltd, Berlin branch, Saatwinkler Damm 42-43, 13627 Berlin (hereinafter referred to as: “topbonus”). In order to participate in the competition, you must register via the campaign link www.airberlin.com/topbonus by clicking on the “Participate now” button. The registration period begins on 17.03.2016 and ends on 15.05.2016 (“campaign period”). Participation itself is by the participant using a service of the topbonus partners defined in section 2 within the campaign period (“activity”). Through each activity, the participant acquires a ticket entitling him/her to be included in the draw in accordance with section 3 after the end of the campaign period and thus increasing his/her chances of winning. The participant can access an overview of the activities in the campaign period and the resulting credit items at any time in his/her own topbonus mileage account and thus ascertain the number of tickets he/she has acquired. A requirement for participation in the competition is that the participating person is over 18 years of age and a participant in the topbonus programme. Only one registration per person is possible. Participation is free of charge. Employees of topbonus and their relatives are excluded from participation. Participation through a competition service is excluded. Only personal registrations are permitted. topbonus reserves the right, in the event of a suspicion of technical manipulation or other breach of these Terms and Conditions of Participation and/or the topbonus Terms and Conditions of Participation, to exclude the participant in question from the draw. In such cases, the winnings can also be subsequently revoked and a replacement winner drawn. Each participant can only win one prize. The registration of several topbonus accounts in the same name or for the same person is explicitly prohibited. Promotions cannot be combined. Participation in this competition and the double miles campaign and in one or more other mile collection promotions run by the participating topbonus partners is not permitted. The topbonus General Terms and Conditions of Participation, which can be accessed at airberlin.com/topbonus-agb, apply on a supplementary basis.

2. Double Mile Allocation

On successful registration the participant acquires, besides participation in the competition, the right to a double allocation of topbonus award miles with the following topbonus partners:

– Hotels: Accor Hotels, Best Western1, HRS – Das Hotelportal, Intercontinental Hotels Group2, InterCityHotels, Park Inn3, Radisson Blu Hotels & Resorts3, Regent Hotels & Resorts, Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts

– Hire cars: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Europcar4, Hertz, National Car Rental, rentalcars.com, Sixt5

– Further partners: airberlin Holidays, Chic Outlet Shopping6, GetYourGuide, HolidayCheck7, myDriver, WESTbahn

Extra miles can only be allocated if the participant uses a partner service during the campaign period. The regular topbonus award miles for partner activities will be credited to the participant’s topbonus mileage account after he/she uses a partner service. The extra miles will be credited within six weeks after the end of the campaign period. Cancelled and unused partner services and rebooked partner services which lie outside the campaign period after rebooking are excluded from the campaign. You can find the regular mileage credits of the topbonus partners which will be doubled as part of this non-Air Partner promotion and further information on the subsequent mileage credit for services of topbonus partners on the partner site of the relevant partner under: airberlin.com/topbonus » partner.

The following specific collection conditions apply on a supplementary basis:

1 The conversion of Best Western Rewards points into topbonus award miles is excluded from the double miles campaign.

2 The conversion of IHG® Rewards Club points into topbonus award miles is excluded from the double miles campaign.

3 The conversion of Club Carlson Gold Points® points into topbonus award miles is excluded from the double miles campaign.

4 Europcar hirings in the USA and Canada are excluded from the double miles allocation.

5 Combining the double miles campaign with other Sixt miles promotions is excluded. This particularly applies for the Sixt frequent hire promotion.

6 topbonus participants receive double award miles exclusively on purchases in Ingolstadt Village and Wertheim Village.

7 topbonus participants receive double award miles exclusively on ratings. airberlin Visa Card holders already receive, outside this campaign, 400 miles per published hotel rating and are therefore excluded from further doubling.

3. Determining the Winners / Prizes

The winners of the individual prizes will be drawn at random from among all the competition participants by 26.06.2016. The following individual prizes from non-Air Partners and other service providers can be won:

Within six weeks after the end of the campaign period, the winners of the individual prizes will receive an e-mail at the e-mail address entered in their topbonus profile. topbonus reserves the right to draw a replacement winner if the participant fails to contact us to accept the prize within three (3) weeks after the receipt of the e-mail. The winners of the miles packages will receive the mileage credit no later than six weeks after the end of the campaign period. Winners are not entitled to cash settlement or a change or exchange of prizes. Transferability and auctioning of the prizes are excluded. Paid auctioning in particular is prohibited and does not establish any entitlement of the buyer to a performance. Exclusively the respective terms and conditions of the individual service providers apply with regard to claiming the individual prizes. Legal action is excluded.

4. Liability

topbonus is liable exclusively for the proper implementation of the competition and for the performance components that it renders itself, and not for the performance components of other service providers (e.g. flight, bus, hotel). topbonus’ liability shall be unlimited in this respect in the event of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, if a guarantee has been provided or in the event of loss of life or injury to the body or health due to minor negligence. In the event of a breach of a key contractual obligation due to minor negligence, the liability shall be limited to damage to property or financial losses attributable to it, in the amount of the foreseeable damage that typically occurs. Any more far-reaching liability for compensation on the part of topbonus is excluded. Any claims to compensation are limited to the amount of the offered performance component, insofar as topbonus itself is responsible for it. This does not apply to claims under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz).

5. Privacy

When the participant clicks on the button “Participate now”, the registration is stored in his/her topbonus profile and the data recorded in the profile will be used for the purposes of carrying out the competition. If, after registration, the participant no longer wishes to participate in the competition, he/she can object to the use of his/her data for the purpose of carrying out the competition by sending an e-mail to the official service e-mail address shown on the back of his/her topbonus card. In the event of an objection, further participation in the competition is no longer possible.

6. Early Termination of the Competition

topbonus reserves the right to break off or terminate the competition without advance notice due to unforeseeable circumstances. This particularly applies if software and / or hardware errors occur and / or other technical and / or legal circumstances arise which affect or prevent the proper and correct carrying out of the competition.

7. Applicable Law

The competition is exclusively subject to the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. If individual provisions of these terms and conditions are or become ineffective, the effectiveness of the other provisions hereof shall not be affected.
