United Airlines has launched new campaign for buying MileagePlus miles and is now offering up to 100% bonus until April 25, 2016.
United Airlines has promotions pretty much every month for buying miles, but they all max at this 100% bonus or at 50% discount (came price really).
You can access this offer on United’s website here.
UPDATE: Appears that this offer is targeted. United does have 100% purchase bonus promotions several times a year.
The price of a mile under this offer when purchased at the maximum level is 1.88 cents each.
Does it make sense to purchase United miles?
If you use them for international business or first class tickets between expensive city pairs, then the answer is likely yes.
Sebastian just wrote about this United award ticket success to Australia from Asia that was only 40,000 miles in combined business/first (read more here).
This is the best offer that United Airlines has extended for those wishing to purchase MileagePlus miles.
They can come handy especially for those that live in Australia or New Zealand (expensive destination to fly from in business/first) and wish to travel in style to Asia.
