Frontier Airlines: Female Passenger Going Crazy And Strips Butt Naked During Flight

A female passenger on board a Frontier Airlines flight from Denver to Portland had a nervous breakdown this week which resulted in her taking off all clothes and banging on the cockpit door, fearing a crash.

A passenger captured part of the scene on video which has since been uploaded to Youtube which just today has already been viewed over 12,000 times.

There were quite a few incidents involving passengers who had a panic attack this year alone but this one has a certain edge to it.

One of the passengers gave an interview to Fox News Denver (access here).

A Frontier Airlines flight from Denver to Portland, Ore., had to turn around before taking off Monday because a woman on the jet began screaming and removing her clothes.

A passenger recorded a portion of the meltdown while the airplane taxied, but he said it only represents a portion of what happened before and after.

“I was uncomfortable and I wasn’t sitting next to her,” said Devin, who wanted to remain anonymous because of response from the video.

You can access the video on Youtube:

Devin’s video shows the woman kicking and screaming on the ground, and hitting her head against the cockpit door. She can also be heard taking about dying in a plane crash.

He said the trouble started at the gate, long before picking up his phone and pushing the record button.

I find it a bit obscure that someone who has no problem filming people in such situations of distress and then uploads it into public domain wants to remain anonymous himself.

“Her behavior was really erratic, up and down, crying and then laughing and then crying,” Devin said. “Even before she got on the plane.”

Devin said the incident at the front of the plane didn’t happen until the plane had taxied onto the runway and was minutes from taking off.

“She attempted to pull out the oxygen bag,” he said. “She attempted to pry that open and then, at that point, she had enough and she jumped out of her seat, jumped over the person closest to the aisle there.”

Devin said he shot the video as the plane was on the way back to the gate, but he stopped recording early because the woman began taking off her clothes.

“There were no clothes,” he said. “Not even socks.”

Another website, (see here) transcribed some of the conversation going on during the recording.

The woman, who is near the cockpit door, can be seen in the nearly 2-minute video kicking her feet on the ground during the temper tantrum, screaming and ranting, and then flailing on her back as a flight attendant watches. The flight attendant tries to calm her down, as the woman complains she can’t breath and takes several deep breaths.

She tells the flight attendant she’s going to go back to her seat, and the flight attendant tells her to stay where she is. “Are we about to die?,” the woman asks. She then says, “I’m going to take my shoes off,” and kicks her flip flops off her feet. The woman then begins flopping and banging her hands on the cockpit door.

“Are we about to crash?,” the woman then asks. The flight attendant tells her they aren’t going to crash.

The passenger recording, Devin Harman, said he then stopped recording because the woman began to take off her clothes, stripping naked.

It certainly sounds like a bad emotional roller coaster for both the lady who had the meltdown but also the passengers and crew on board. There isn’t much one can do when a panic attack strikes without warning.

Let’s hope the lady was able to get proper treatment on the ground after being taken off the flight. This is clearly a case of medical problem, not criminal intent so I doubt there will be any charges filed and even if there would be no chance one would be convicted.
