Club Carlson has offered Silver and Gold status matches from competing programs already for a while but this is the first time I have seen them emailing about it and having a dedicated web page up.
Club Carlson is the loyalty program for Carlson-Rezidor Hotel Group that include brands such as Radisson, Radisson Blu, Country Inns & Suites and Park Plaza.

Here’s what you need to do to have your status matched:
- Send us your full name
- Club Carlson membership number
- Name of other frequent guest program
- Membership number and tier level of the other frequent guest program
- Copy of your membership card from the other frequent guest program (PDF or JPG files only)

Club Carlson’s highest status is Concierge but that has never been part of the status matches done. These matches were previously done within a day, although they now state that it may take up to a week.
The problem that I have with Club Carlson is that the benefits of other statuses besides Concierge are weak compared to the competition and inconsistency of the Radisson brand. You never know if that Radisson Blu is really an acceptable choice or not.
It is worth having a status with them, however. You may find that there are some cities where Radisson Blu is a top branded hotel such as in Belo Horizonte where I happen to be at the time of writing this.
