Hilton HHonors has launched a promotion for AeroMexico Club Premier members that can earn new triple miles for stays between July 18 – November 18, 2016.
The offer is valid for stays at the participating hotels in Latin America, Canada and the Caribbean. Note that stays in the United States are excluded.

Note that you must have your Hilton HHonors Double Dip option set to Points + Miles and have AeroMexico Club Premier selected as your preferred partner. You can access the list of participating hotels here.
You normally earn 1 mile per 1 USD charged that is tripled to 3 for the duration of this campaign.

Conclusion
Hilton HHonors has now launched this same campaign with United, Delta, American and AIR MILES. I guess that they feel that those that stay in the US don’t need bonus miles.
I would say that in general three airline miles is better than earning an additional 5 Hilton HHonors bonus points that you forgo when Double Dipping.
