Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG) has launched a new promotion for SPG Pro members that book travel on behalf of others.
SPG Pro members can earn 2,500 bonus Starpoints for every five stays they book on behalf of others between September 1 – December 31, 2016, that are consumed October 1 – December 31.

You can earn the 2,500 bonus Starpoints for up to four times (10,000 Starpoints) and will earn an additional 5,000 bonus Starpoints for reaching 25 consumed traveler stays during the promotional period.
Wonder what will happen to all these various SPG programs after the Marriott purchase is finally cleared by the Chinese? Nothing should happen before the end of 2017.
This is a nice bonus for SPG Pro members that book stays for others. 2,500 bonus Starpoints for every five consumed stays during the promotional period is a good offer.
Here are the terms and conditions:
Eligibility: Must be an SPG® Pro Executive Assistant with active status to participate in this promotion.
Registration: Members must register online at spg.com/goforfive by 11:59 p.m. eastern time (ET) on 31 December, 2016. Registered members can earn bonus Starpoints® for eligible bookings that are made between 1 September 2016 and 31 December 2016 and consumed between 1 October 2016 and 31 December 2016 (the “Promotion Period”), at any of the more than 1,300 SPG-participating hotels and resorts worldwide.
Earning: Registered members can earn 2,500 bonus Starpoints for every five (5) eligible bookings made on behalf of the member’s colleagues/travellers between 1 September 2016 and 31 December 2016 and consumed between 1 October 2016 and 31 December 2016, at any of the more than 1,300 SPG-participating hotels and resorts worldwide. A maximum of four (4) 2,500 bonus Starpoints awards (for a total of 10,000 Starpoints) can be earned during the Promotion Period.
Additional Bonus: Registered members can also earn one (1) 5,000 Starpoints® bonus when 25 eligible traveller stays are booked between1 September 2016 and 31 December 2016 and consumed between 1 October 2016 and 31 December 2016, at any of the more than 1,300 SPG-participating hotels and resorts worldwide.
A total of 15,000 bonus Starpoints can be earned during the Promotion Period.
All eligible traveller stays booked during the promotional booking window that are consumed during the Promotion Period will be counted towards earning bonus Starpoints, regardless of an SPG Pro member’s promotion registration date.
Bonusing: Bonus Starpoints will post to the registered member’s account within 2-4 weeks of the qualifying transaction posting to the SPG Pro member’s account.
Participating Properties: All 1,300+ hotels and resorts worldwide that participate in the SPG programme are participating in this promotion. This includes our 11 brands: Sheraton®, Westin®, St. Regis®, The Luxury Collection®, W®, Le Méridien®, Design Hotels™, Tribute Portfolio™, Element℠, Aloft® and Four Points®.
Eligible Stays: An eligible booking is defined as made by the SPG Pro Executive Assistant that results in a consumed and paid for stay by a corporate traveller other than himself or herself, with eligible nights booked during the promotional booking window that fall within the Promotion Period. A qualifying rate is any rate for which an SPG Pro Executive Assistant is eligible to earn SPG Pro benefits. A consecutive stay is when checkouts and check-ins occur the same day in the same hotel for the same guest. A minimum stay of one night is required. A maximum of 90 days applies. SPG Pro Executive Assistant must enter his or her valid SPG member number with the reservation at the time of booking to qualify to earn bonus Starpoints.
