Hyatt Gold Passport and American Airlines have launched a conversion bonus for people converting their hotel points to AAdvantage miles.
Members can earn 25% bonus for all the conversions they make between September 15 – October 14, 2016.
You can access this offer on Hyatt’s website here.
I am a huge proponent of converting hotel points to airline miles during various promotions but it really doesn’t make sense to convert Hyatt Gold Passport points to American Airlines AAdvantage miles.
Here are the terms and conditions:
To be eligible to participate in this Promotion, you must be a member of Hyatt Gold Passport and in good standing with the AAdvantage® program. Earn twenty-five percent (25%) bonus American Airlines AAdvantage® miles when you convert your Hyatt Gold Passport Points to AAdvantage® miles between 12:00 a.m. Central Time (“CT”) September 15, 2016 and 11:59 p.m. CT October 14, 2016 (“Promotion Period”). Hyatt Gold Passport members may convert Hyatt Gold Passport points to miles with participating Travel Partners at a conversion ratio of 1,250 Hyatt Gold Passport points to 500 miles (2.5 to 1). A minimum of 5,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points is required for each conversion request. Additional points may be converted in 1,250-point increments in that same transaction. You must provide your Hyatt Gold Passport and AAdvantage® member numbers at the point of conversion. Hyatt Gold Passport will track all conversions in which your Hyatt Gold Passport and AAdvantage® account numbers are provided. This offer is non-transferable and non-reversible. There is no limit to bonus points earned or number of transactions completed within the Promotion Period. Bonus miles earned in this promotion do not count toward elite status qualification.
