All premium awards:

This is one of the few category 1 properties requiring 5,000 points per night. These Premium rewards are tied to the paid rates

Seems that the property has “forgotten” or is experiencing “technical difficulties” attaching the proper award type for their standard rooms.

Conclusion

The hotel here is basically playing games (some could say scamming Hilton HHonors members) by not correctly attaching the standard award room rate plan for their standard rooms.

Per the T&Cs of the Hilton HHonors program, the standard room award should be available as long as the property is selling their standard rooms.

If you are experiencing something like this, you should always open a case with Hilton’s Guest Assistance.
