Hilton HHonors Points Bonanza: Combine Multiple Ongoing Promotions For Maximum Points Credit

As we updated you on our monthly summary of active hotel promotions Hilton HHonors currently has multiple promos that (as we were able to confirm this week) are all combinable, resulting in very large points credits.

You are able to earn HHonors points credits in the 5-digits even for very cheap stays at Hilton brand properties if you follow our sign-up example as demonstrated below.

While certain hotel chains are cutting back, Hilton HHonors has been very generous this year with promotions as well as Status Match campaigns in order to attract customers.

Remember, LoyaltyLobby updates you monthly on all active hotel promotions (access our November Update here).

As Hilton currently has a multitude of different promotions that each have different requirements we decided to give it a go and book a stay that would include all required parameters to fulfill each of the promotions to see how many points we are able to harvest which means booking either a Conrad or Waldorf Astoria property.

I chose to book a one night stay at the Conrad Bangkok as it was a convenient location and a reasonable price on short notice with 4,150 THB (117 $US) per night although this property sells for as low as 3,000 THB during sales.

While this property leaves many things to be desired it did the trick for all intends and purposes this time and sure enough it took roughly 48 hours until the Hilton Honors Balance was updated with the earnings and another 24 hours until the transaction showed up in detail on the account (Hilton always takes some time with that).

Our rate of 117$US plus a 20$US Room Service resulted in a credit of 11,962 Hilton Honors points.

How did we do it and how can you replicate this result?

  1. You have to register for all the outlined promotions before your reservations.
  2. The promotions require reservation & payment with VISA Card.
  3. To take advantage of the mileage promotions you have to change the earning style to Points+Miles.

Ranked by the points credits as listed above these are your promotions to sign up for:

The amount of points collected is quite substantial, especially for one night stays. I find HHonors points still pretty useful at certain low and mid range properties, especially their cash & points awards.

As far as the requirements for some of the Visa Card promotions go, the T&C state that the card must be issued in certain markets within Asia-Pacific. While I hold a Visa card issued in Japan which would be eligible I used a German card to test if any card would work and the results speak a clear language.
