Le Club AccorHotels has signed up a new airline partner, Doha based Qatar Airways. I first wrote about this couple of weeks back (read more here).

Now, Le Club AccorHotels has sent out emails about their partnership that revealed that you can convert Privilege Club miles to Le Club AccorHotels points and they count towards the Le Club AccorHotels elite status until the end of the year.

You can access Accor’s web page for airline partners here.

The conversation ratio from Le Club AccorHotels to Qatar Airways Privilege Club is the usual 2:1 meaning two Le Club AccorHotels points convert to one mile.

Qatar Airways, however, now also allows converting Privilege Club miles to Le Club AccorHotels points at the following ratio: 4500 Qmiles can be converted into 1000 Le Club AccorHotels points

You need to contact Qatar Airways to convert Qmiles to Le Club AccorHotels points.

Conclusion

It is quite rare that an airline allows its miles to be converted to hotel loyalty program points. This is usually a one-way street. But the conversion ratio is not good.

I would only move Privilege Club miles to Le Club AccorHotels if they were about to expire and you have no other use for them OR until the end of this year when they count towards elite status and thus would help you to get to Gold or Platinum.
