It’s one the second last Fabulous Friday in 2016 and Christmas Season to boot, what better occasion to highlight some airlines that serve festive dishes and decorate their lounges in the spirit of the season!
While many airport facilities and flight services have rather dismal decoration for any type of festive season many airports and airlines in Europe really go all the way. Especially Lufthansa is known to decorate their First Class Lounges and also offers a festive menu on the ground and in the air.
The following is the First Class Lounge in Munich, a little wooden shop house as typical on German Christmas Markets:
At the First Class Terminal in Frankfurt on the way back to Asia I tried the a la carte dining and found a delicious duck as main dish.
The roasted duck was spectacular and instead of eating inflight I decided to have dinner on the ground.
I really appreciate these little seasonal details when flying. Same like when they serve Asparagus during the spring season.
It doesn’t cost the airline much to change the tone of their environment a little bit during different seasons of the year and especially when it comes to dining it’s a welcome alternative especially for frequent travelers who at some point are just fed up with the standard items available year round.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all LoyaltyLobby readers regardless if traveling these days or staying at home with family!
