Many hotel chains have had “green choice” initiatives for years where guests can get a small credit or bonus points for not getting housekeeping for a day You usually inform hotel about your choice by hanging a sign outside or putting a note to the key card slot.
A LoyaltyLobby reader sent me a photo of sign from an Accor affiliated hotel. Seems that this specific hotel is offering 150 Le Club AccorHotels points (not sure if this is standard amount with all Accor hotels), children beverage at the bar or promises to donate 3 euros to reforestation project.
You can access Le Club AccorHotels here.
Have other LoyaltyLobby readers seen these at Accor affiliated hotels? I have not, although I had 30 to 40 nights with the chain last year at mostly full service properties.
150 points is not a lot now that they don’t count towards the status with Le Club AccorHotels. Other hotels tend to offer 500 points for not having room service.
