InterContinental Hotels Group, usually referred to just IHG, today refreshed the logo it uses.
You may have noticed the new IHG logo used on the website where it was rolled earlier today (the Android app still uses the old one).

Here’s statement form the IHG Global Spokesperson:
We use digital content to enhance the guest experience at all stages of the Guest Journey (Dream, Plan, Book, Stay and Share), and are in the process of refreshing the IHG corporate brand specifically with mobile in mind. This will help ensure that our logo stands out more sharply in a channel that today delivers over half of all visits to our websites.
This logo change is more evolutionary than revolutionary. Companies tend to update their logos perhaps once in a decade to reflect the changing design environment.
