Virgin America Elevate Most Partnerships Ending On September 30, 2017

Virgin America Elevate today made an announcement that it would end most partnerships effective September 30, 2017.

Elevate program itself will cease to exist at the end of the year and will be merged to Alaska’s Mileage Plan.

Emirates is also Alaska partner so no change there. Redeeming miles on Singapore Airlines has been very difficult so that has been practically impossible using Elevate miles.


I think that I need to move my 40,001 Elevate points to Mileage Plan at some point in time, but plenty of time to do that. Never managed to redeem anything on Virgin America partners, although contemplated couple of time trying to redeem on Singapore Airlines for some short-haul intra-Asia hops.
